Love: The universal language we all have the ability to speak. It comes in all forms and it is beautiful in all of these, there are many definitions and many meanings to this word. This past month I have seen how incredible it is and the past year I have discovered it more than ever. It has really made me appreciate who I have in my life and what is happening, which made me want to share it with you. A slight break away from my usual content but when weddings, christenings an special moments take place it kind of takes over.
Soulmate
This is deemed the obvious form of love and you may not have found it yet but it will come. This is the person who gets you, is with you for the good and the bad. The one who makes you all fuzzy and happy inside, you smile when you think of them, you want to be with them forever. Your best friend. There is a sexual passion and desire as well as comfort, security and safety, no one in this world means more to you and you couldn’t imagine your life without them … even if they can annoy you at times 😉
Family
This is unconditional, uncomplicated and with you forever. We don’t always get on with our family and some peoples situations are more complicated than others but they are our family. You will always protect them and they will always protect you. The bond between siblings and parent and child is strong, personal and affectionate, they may drive you crazy but they are yours and you love them anyway.
Friends
These are the family we choose, the support network we surround ourselves with to keep us grounded, happy and motivated. They provide positivity and want us to succeed and us likewise. You love your friends because they are an extended version of yourself but in a different way. Everyone of my friends plays a massive part in my life even if they don’t know what that is believe me they do. I have had negative people in my life and friends that don’t always stick around but that is just a sign that that wasn’t meant to be and you will find new ones who fit into your lifestyle. Your happiness is their happiness and sharing bad times goes without saying.
Children
The love from a child is innocent and pure, they see the world in a different angle to what we do, it is beautiful. When a child is part of your life whether it is a son or daughter, brother or sister, cousin niece or nephew, godson or god daughter, friends child etc it makes the world a little bit brighter and gives you this sense of protection. That child is yours to help grow, to show the beauty of the world as well as protect them from the not so nice things, to teach and educate and most of all fill that child’s life with love.
Self
We give all this love to everyone else but sometimes forget ourselves … treat your self with respect, pride and the love you would your best friend. Understand who you are and what you have to offer the world and love that. Embrace your body before you try to change it. Don’t hate on the things you can’t control and instead look for the positive things you can. Take all the love you have the above and save a little bit for you.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails
