STOP

Write down 3 things you love about your body – it can be anything: physical, mental, something that is unique to you

GO ….

Did you found that easy or hard? Could you even do it or was there loads more you could have written? Let me know in the comments below I would love to see or you can message me separately.

That was just a little task to get you thinking about your body and how you feel about it.

Self love and loving your body is a big thing in the media at the moment and that is great I think it is something everyone should strive for. We spend too much time putting ourselves down that we never take a moment to appreciate ourselves. There is no need to constantly be belittling yourself as it is your body, the only one you have and you should be grateful for it.

Having said that there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be the best you can be in fitness, health and life. There is no shame in wanting to better yourself and be the best you can be but at the same time don’t forget to love your body in the process. Losing that stone, dropping a dress size, gaining more muscle won’t suddenly make you happy you are more than likely want to want more!

The key is to fully embrace what you have now, own it, love it and then because you love yourself you want to see what you can do. It is a lot easier when you accept yourself as things will fall into place. I know it isn’t always easy and I know it will take time but it was the best thing I could ever do.

Workouts should be to fun, challenging aimed to keep you fit, healthy and strong not a punishment or a chore.

A diet should be full of wholesome nutritious foods you love for health, to keep the body going and functioning right as well as those less nutritious elements because you love them. Not a restrictive, structured one that you are unhappy with.

Goals should be personal to you and should have a reason behind them and not just because so and so is doing it.

Do what you love with a little it of what you need to get to where you want to be all the time being proud of yourself and your body!

LOVE your body now

LOVE your body when you are working towards your next goal

LOVE your body when you reach it

LOVE your body always and you will be in a much happier healthier place!

It’s ok to have goals, it’s ok to challenge yourself, it’s ok to want more but just try and get your mindset in that happy place first. Love what you have its the only one you have
